About the Role:
We're growing fast and looking for a systems-minded team builder to join us as a Talent & Training Operations Specialist. This role starts as a contract (Interim Operations Specialist) and is intended to convert to a full-time staff position after 90 days. You’ll work closely with leadership to grow our disaster response team, improve our hiring and training systems, and coordinate onboarding across platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit and onboard disaster responders and internal hires
- Manage hiring flows using Workable, Gusto, Connecteam/Sling, and project management tools
- Coordinate deployment rosters, scheduling, and availability tracking
- Assist in developing training pathways and LMS content (videos, live sessions, modules)
- Ensure smooth integration into HR, scheduling, and payroll systems
- Represent the organization at conferences and events to expand outreach and visibility
- Contribute to internal process improvements and tech system optimization
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience in recruiting, HR, operations, or training roles
- Strong organizational and systems-thinking skills
- Comfortable using applicant tracking, scheduling, and payroll platforms
- Self-directed and detail-oriented with a collaborative mindset
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Bonus if you’ve worked in emergency response, nonprofit, or field-based operations

Compensation:
- Contract Phase: $22–$30/hour
- Full-Time Salary Range: $54,000–$70,000/year
