Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Advocate.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage, establishing co-pay and deductible amounts
• Provide cost estimates for Cancer Center procedures and obtain insurance preauthorization for services
• Assist patients in applying for assistance programs and track financial services throughout their treatment course

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma or GED required; two years of college or technical degree preferred
• Two years experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical insurance billing office preferred
• Experience with Mosaiq, Hospital EMR, Microsoft Office products, and automated systems preferred
• Customer service skills and ability to triage and prioritize workflow preferred
• Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
