Job Summary

A company is looking for an Acute Inpatient Coder II.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely coding of diagnoses and procedures for inpatient and outpatient services
  • Conduct claims data reviews and assist with coding issues and appeals
  • Interact with physicians to clarify documentation and provide training to other coders
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • One (1) year of hospital/professional coding experience
  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification
  • Preferred: 1 year of acute inpatient hospital coding experience
  • Preferred: Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Technology
  • Preferred: Proficiency in Epic, 3M 360, and Optum Encoder Pro
