Proposal Manager & Pricing Specialist

This role is responsible for overseeing the creation and submission of business proposals, playing a crucial role in Broadway Ventures’ sales process. The individual in this position will ensure all proposals are compelling, compliant, and aligned with client needs and company offerings. Additionally, this role involves analyzing competitor pricing and market expectations to determine the ideal target price for bid submissions. The position requires strategic planning, project management, and collaboration with various teams to develop persuasive proposals and competitive pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Management

• Lead the proposal development process, including kickoff meetings, proposal outlines, schedules, and team coordination
• Analyze Request for Proposal (RFP) documents to ensure alignment with client requirements
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to craft content demonstrating the company’s capabilities and solutions
• Edit, revise, and proofread proposal content for clarity, accuracy, and compliance (without using ChatGPT or AI software)
• Manage the proposal review process, incorporating feedback to enhance quality
• Oversee the production and timely submission of final proposal documents
• Develop and maintain proposal libraries and templates to streamline future submissions
• Conduct post-proposal reviews to gather lessons learned for continuous improvement
• Work closely with internal teams to collect necessary information
• Track proposal deadlines and maintain an organized proposal calendar
• Stay informed on industry trends and competitor strategies to ensure competitiveness

Pricing Specialist

• Analyze competitor pricing and market trends to support strategic pricing decisions
• Develop and implement pricing models for new and existing products/services
• Work with sales teams to align pricing strategies with business goals
• Monitor and adjust pricing structures based on market conditions and sales performance
• Conduct financial analysis to assess the impact of pricing changes
• Prepare reports on pricing strategies, performance metrics, and market competitiveness
• Collaborate with product development teams to establish appropriate pricing for new offerings
• Assist in the creation of promotional pricing strategies
• Evaluate pricing initiatives and promotions for effectiveness
• Utilize pricing software and analytical tools to optimize pricing structures
• Ensure all pricing strategies comply with legal and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Experience
• 3-5 years of experience as a Proposal Manager or in a similar role
• 2-3 years of experience as a Pricing Analyst

Education & Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• CPMP (Certified Proposal Management Professional) preferred

Skills & Competencies
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple proposals simultaneously
• Experience with pricing software and analytical tools
• In-depth understanding of market dynamics and competitive pricing strategies
• Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under stringent deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and within a team structure to achieve goals
• Strong data management and analytical capabilities
• High level of professionalism and work ethic, with a commitment to delivering results
• Customer service-oriented mindset in all interactions

Technical & Physical Requirements

Computer Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat

Physical Functions
• Ability to work at a desk for extended periods
