Location: Brooklyn, New York (Project Field Office)

Job Type: Full Time Onsite, Monday-Friday (8:30AM-5:15PM)

Job Description: Velocity Architecture & Engineering DPC, a company of BRAVO Group, has an immediate opening for an Architectural Technical Field Representative to serve as a liaison between our client, A&E teams, and contractors while overseeing projects during construction phase. This individual will work from an assigned field office, and will manage construction and closeout procedures. A proactive, detail-oriented self-starter with a strong Architectural background will thrive in this position.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor construction progress through site visits and document observations of work quality and compliance.
  • Represent both client and A+E teams in confirming that construction adheres to contract documents and acceptable quality standards.
  • Respond to RFIs with timely, accurate interpretations of the contract documents.
  • Review contractor submittals, including shop drawings, product data, and samples, and maintain related logs.
  • Identify non-conforming work and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as needed.
  • Review and recommend action on contractor change orders, substitutions, and time extensions.
  • Attend contractor and client meetings, documenting proceedings and preparing meeting minutes.
  • Maintain organized project records including correspondence, drawings, directives, and logs of field activity.
  • Track and observe contractor-maintained Project Record Documents and ensure proper documentation.
  • Notify the project team and client if work begins before required submittals are approved.
  • Coordinate examination and approval of samples delivered to the site.
  • Observe testing and startup of major building systems, confirming their proper operation in writing.
  • Support project closeout by ensuring documentation and quality expectations are fulfilled.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of architectural experience, with significant exposure to field work for construction-phase projects.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes and the ability to enforce contract requirements.
  • Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, and PDF-editing tools.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proactive and independent work ethic.
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Familiarity with NYC DOB applications and filing procedures.
  • Experience with NYC Public Agencies is preferred.
  • OSHA 30 and Scaffold certifications are required for this position; candidates who do not currently possess certifications will still be considered but will be required to obtain them within one week of start date.

Education: Professional degree in Architecture is required. #LI-Onsite

Salary
$130,000$142,000 USD
