The Bosch unit in Ovar belongs to the Building Technologies division and is focused on bringing solutions to the market that are shaping the smart cities of the future. The company develops and produces innovative solutions for security and communication systems, fire alarms and electronic displays. With about 1300 employees, its success lies in the highly specialized and innovative team and technological know-how.

As a trainee in our UX/UI Design team in Ovar you will be part of a talented, motivated and cross-functional team responsible for conceptualizing and assisting in the development and implementation of design concepts for web, mobile and desktop user interfaces of different products.

You will work closely with senior designers and assist the team with:
•    Research for new solutions, technologies, methodologies, processes, tools,…
•    Translate research insights into user flows, storyboards, personas and user scenarios. 
•    Support the team with concept and prototyping (LoFi and HiFi).
•    Assist in planning and help in usability tests.
•    Prepare visual designs, and graphical user interface design elements, create technical specifications and design documentation.
•    Optimize existing user interface designs by identifying and resolving usability or accessibility issues.
•    Strive for intuitive and user-centred solutions.
•    Establish and promote best practices and standards within the team.
•    Adhere to style guides and internal company standards.
 
 

What distinguishes you:

• Knowledge and application of standards (Design Principles and Usability Heuristics) as well as User Interface Patterns and Interaction Design best practices.
• Knowledge of user interface design patterns and guidelines for web applications and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• Foundational knowledge of UX process and design thinking.
• Knowledge of User-Centered Design Methods.
• Strong graphic design skills with good understanding of typography, color, layout.
• Strong skills in Figma: Libraries, Variables, Prototyping, Design systems, Auto-layout
• Ability to create design systems and maintain design consistency across various platforms
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS and frontend basics to facilitate the communication between the product teams

• Ability to work in an international and flexible team environment with strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design work, including examples of user flows, wireframes, prototypes, styleguides , and final designs.
• Demonstrated ability to design for both mobile and web platforms.
• Academic degree in Communication Design, Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or similar.
