About the Job 

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be responsible for identifying, contacting, and qualifying the best local restaurants—and their key decision makers—to bring onto the Blackbird platform. You will manage a robust sales pipeline, and will partner with Sales leadership to hit Blackbird’s ambitious quarterly and yearly restaurant acquisition goals.

Candidates must live local to the New York City area, relocation not provided.

Responsibilities 

  • Identify, contact, and qualify the best restaurants to build out Blackbird’s restaurant side of the marketplace
  • Develop breakthrough creative and effective messaging to hook new restaurants and move potential customers through the funnel
  • Own cold outreach via phone and email. Tactfully and relentlessly follow up with potential restaurant partners and keep tabs on where everyone stands
  • Support senior leadership in developing key go-to-market strategies and tactics to build Blackbird in different markets
  • Stay organized, and keep those around you organized on progress

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Appetite for an exciting, fast-paced startup culture

Nice to Haves

  • Experience working within and/or selling into the hospitality industry
  • Experience using CRM programs and tools
  • Can pivot on the fly, relentlessly optimistic, and determined to get there
  • You want the ball. Our teams ship high caliber work on tight timelines, usually starting from scratch. Owning a problem doesn’t scare you
  • Interest in serving up a game-changing loyalty and payments platform for the best restaurants



Pay Transparency Notice & Benefits

Depending on your work location and experience the on target earnings are: $65,000 OTE USD. This range does not include the equity component of the overall compensation package. Disclosure in accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law.

Full time offers from Blackbird may also include stock options, benefits (including medical, dental, vision, flexible time off, 401(k)), and some not-so-standard, extra-fun perks — subject to applicable taxes and based on eligibility.
