Job Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute automated tests for microservices and infrastructure components
2. Implement Pact contract testing to ensure API stability
3. Design and maintain test automation frameworks for backend services
4. Conduct performance and load testing for distributed systems
5. Work with DevOps Engineers to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
6. Ensure observability and logging for test executions, e.g. OpenTelemetry, ELK
7. Collaborate with Software Engineers to enforce quality in system refactoring efforts

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields
2. 3+ years of experience in QA Automation for backend services and cloud infrastructure
3. Strong expertise in API and microservices testing, e.g. Postman, RestAssured, Supertest
4. Experience in contract testing and integration testing for microservices
5. Proficiency in performance testing tools, e.g. JMeter, k6, Locust
6. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based testing environments
7. Experience in Infrastructure as Code IaC validation and security testing

Good to have

1. Familiarity with service mesh testing, e.g. Istio, Linkerd
2. Experience in gRPC and event-driven architecture testing, e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ
3. Exposure to fault injection testing, e.g. Chaos Engineering, Gremlin
