About the Team 

At Axiom, we recognize the power of market research and content marketing as a driving force behind brand awareness, thought leadership, and market engagement. Our design and content marketing efforts have consistently fueled sales, marketing, and lead generation success, resulting in closed deals even years after release. We are committed to enhancing our marketing design capabilities by establishing a leadership role dedicated to maximizing our user experience and brand elements.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Explore and refine all aspects of the brand to clearly communicate who Axiom is visually, ensuring cohesion across solutions, products, and offerings under one unified brand and messaging.
  • Lead key initiatives that evolve the brand, align with marketing objectives and enhance the customer journey at every touchpoint (i.e.: marketing campaigns and thought leadership, strengthening social media presence, optimizing the website with strong UX/UI skills, creating engaging event experiences, producing video content, and more).
  • Develop and own our design strategy for social media, working with the Digital team to increase click throughs and manage our templates.  
  • Develop a content strategy to fuel our design plan across Product and Marketing. Partner with business stakeholders and product managers.
  • Partner with the content team to develop on-brand narratives including whitepapers, research reports, case studies, infographics and infographics, then make that content accessible to our audience.
  • Create engaging branded videos in partnership with our third-party vendor.
  • Collaborate with our global Events team to develop booths and swag branded items, cooking up whatever type of collateral is needed.  
  • Facilitate website refreshes based on UX research and data findings and work in partnership with Digital Marketing and Product on new pages and integration of the product into our website.
  • Use data-driven and a user-centric approach to inform creative decisions, ensuring user needs and business goals are met effectively.
  • Establish the email look and feel, produce templates, and review content emails before they’re issued to clients or prospects.  
  • Maintain our branded library (photography, illustrations, iconography) as well as brand guidelines.  
  • Oversee company-wide branded assets including email signatures, letterheads, zoom backgrounds, screensavers etc. and make them accessible to our HQ.  

SKILLS 

You have: 

  • Super creative instincts
  • Excellent visual communication and UX skills
  • Comfort working with and producing all forms of visual communication: web, print/PDF layouts, advertisements, social media artwork, report design, logos, lock-ups, etc.
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B brand design roles and/or working for a  marketing, design, or PR agency.
  • Experience leading design in a large, matrixed organization and marketing team.
  • Modern design skills.
  • Expert user of Adobe products, Figma, Hubspot, Canva, motion graphics (including vector-based), web animation.
  • Ability to work closely with web and app developers. Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript or generative coding tools a plus.
  • Video direction, production, and editing.
  • Experience and curiosity around evolving technology including AI design, animation, and video tools and platforms.
  • Experience managing a design freelance and agency pool.
  • A passion for mentoring direct reports.
  • A passion for people, good design, effective communication, and storytelling.
  • An ability to adopt and design in a company’s unique voice while finding creative ways to enhance it, reinterpreting it for situational impact.
  • A positive attitude.
  • The ability to take initiative and lead, even without structure or direction.
  • Hands on instincts.
  • A diplomatic presence.
  • Thick skin and rigor – you can give and take candid feedback in a collegial way.
  • A problem with settling for less-than-stellar design.
  • A strong intellectual curiosity.  
  • Experience running communications through IPO, or other strategic corporate transaction.

Axiom’s total rewards philosophy is to be transparent and equitable with all job candidates. The annual base salary range for this role based in New York is $130,000 - $146,500. You will also be eligible to participate in our Annual Bonus Plan which on target would be 25% of your base salary for a Director level role in our Marketing business unit. You can also participate in our benefits programs that include healthcare, life and disability coverage, 401K with company match, paid sick and personal time off, paid parental leave and more. Please note that the final compensation is determined by several considerations, including the quality of your experience and expertise, your ability to immediately contribute to Axiom, your potential to move up to the next level, the market you are located in, and other business considerations.
