Job Summary

A company is looking for an Authorization Representative to verify patient eligibility and coordinate insurance benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations in a timely manner
• Collect and enter demographic and clinical data into the electronic health record
• Communicate with patients, physicians, and insurance companies regarding authorization issues

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience
• 1 year of recent relevant experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to exercise discretion and make independent judgments
