Have you always wanted to work for a company with a real social mission? This is your chance! AssistiveWare’s mission is to support people with communication disabilities. We provide products and services that address the barriers they face and contribute to a more inclusive society.
We are looking for a Product Manager who is passionate about changing the world and has the experience and expertise to contribute to our mission. This is the perfect role for you if you enjoy working collaboratively, transparently, and putting the users first in all aspects of creating solutions.
We are not just a worldwide market leader in apps for people who cannot speak. Our users are at the heart of what we do. Many of them are autistic, have cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and/or fine motor, vision or cognitive disabilities. We are proud to collaborate with them and their families, educators, and therapists to ensure our products best serve their needs.
We are a small but diverse family—we are over 40 people representing 19 nationalities and we’re spread around the world. Our business challenges are unique and in order to keep innovating, we need people with different perspectives to join us—people like you. So no matter where you’re from originally, who you love, what you believe in, or what disability you live with, we welcome you to be your true self at AssistiveWare.
As a Product Manager with AssistiveWare, you will be responsible for all aspects of the product journey. This includes discovering functional needs in collaboration with the UX/UI designer, the marketing team, and AAC clinical experts, as well as overseeing technical implementation with our offsite software development team.
The four important and diverse areas in which you will spend your time are managing: (1) the development of the corporate website, which acts as the first point of contact for many of our users; (2) the development of our backend systems, the backbone of our whole service; (3) the creation of web-based services with which our apps connect; (4) successful integrations with our support and communication systems.
This role requires elevated design and user-centered thinking. We work in short release cycles using a Kanban approach. This means that we start from understanding the challenges and needs of the users through research, then come up with innovative solutions and implement them step by step.
If an employer mentions a salary or salary range on their job, we display it as an "Employer Estimate". If a job has no salary data, Rise displays an estimate if available.
