The Role

As the VP of Finance, you will be a strategic partner to the CEO and a vital member of our leadership team. You’ll lead the finance and accounting organization, embedding data-driven insights and best practices into our operations to drive strategic growth and operational efficiency. In this role, you will have ownership over financial planning and analysis, cash management, compliance, audit, and legal operations while supporting key partnerships with investors, board members, and other stakeholders.

You will also play a pivotal role in our growth strategy, using your expertise in SaaS metrics, capital markets, and FP&A to optimize our financial performance and support company milestones, from fundraising to M&A opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Financial Strategy: Align financial metrics with business objectives to guide strategic investments and fuel AskNicely’s growth.
  • Develop a High-Performance Finance Team: Mentor and empower your team to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights.
  • Optimize Systems for Growth: Balance agile, scalable financial tools with scrappy solutions to support the evolving needs of our business.
  • Manage Compliance & Risk: Oversee legal, tax, compliance, and audit requirements, ensuring AskNicely remains adaptable and compliant as we continue to scale.
  • Lead Cash Management: Develop budgeting and cash allocation strategies to support sustainable growth, balancing short-term needs with long-term health.
  • Storytelling for Investors: Build compelling financial narratives and data rooms to support fundraising and M&A initiatives, and be a trusted communicator with our investors and board.

About You

We are looking for a builder not a fine tuner.  This is a hands-on leadership role which requires you to influence and collaborate at a senior level, as well as get into the details and punch the numbers.  We are also seeking someone who is:
