ABOUT THE TEAM
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for supporting the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. They establish strong relationships with cross-functional teams, such as People Operations and Benefits, to collaborate on payroll matters and systems (Rippling).
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Payroll Analyst that has excellent communication skills, with the ability to resolve employee payroll questions. They work closely with the Senior Payroll Analyst to streamline payroll processes and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- 4+ years of multi-state or multi-site payroll experience
- Proficiency with cloud-based payroll software (preferably Workday or Rippling)
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and tax compliance
- Ability to manage a fluctuating workload of high and low intensity
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with FLSA, federal, state, and local wage and hour, and tax regulations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Accurately process multi-state payroll and provide analytical support to improve payroll operations
- Prepare final wages for terminated employees in compliance with state laws
- Own the end-to-end payroll processing cycle for salaried employees
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Reconcile payroll records and resolve discrepancies
- Identify opportunities to optimize processes and enhance the employee experience
- Partner with HR and Finance for accurate data transfer and payroll calculations
- Ensure payroll processes adhere to wage and hour laws and tax regulations
- Resolve payroll-related inquiries promptly and professionally
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for payroll processes
- Handle special projects or other duties as assigned by management
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
