Talent Development Specialist

The Human Resources department of one of the fastest-growing accounting firms in the country is seeking a Talent Development Specialist who is motivated to learn, excited to collaborate and passionate about delivering outstanding results. This individual will have a direct impact on our firm’s mission of serving as a catalyst for those striving to achieve their highest potential.  

The Talent Development Specialist will support the Talent Development Manager and other technical trainers by assisting in the creation, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of training programs that promote employee growth and career development. This individual will also help administer the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS) and track Continuing Professional Education credits and other compliance requirements set forth by the Missouri State Board of Accountancy, NASBA and other applicable accrediting bodies. The Talent Development Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering employee growth and development, directly contributing to the Firm’s success.

 

What You’ll Do: 

Learning Management System (LMS) 

  • Manage registration and reporting for all learning and development activities using the firm’s Learning Management System
  • Creation of learning objectives in the firm’s Learning Management System such as programs, sessions, learning paths, activities, and catalogs  
  • Monitor and track employee training completion and issue certificates
  • Generate reports for Talent leaders, Practice/Department leaders, and other leaders on employee training and CPE compliance metrics
  • Maintain relationships with LMS Provider for questions and support
  • Stays updated with the latest LMS features and trends to ensure the system is used to its full potential
  • Other LMS duties as assigned

 

Internal Learning Programs 

  • Coordinate registration of employees for internal and external learning events
  • Arrange and coordinate training sessions and schedules; including working with various external trainers  
  • Coordinate all training materials (training guides, handouts, and other visual materials) and agendas for each session and send to presenters and attendees
  • Monitor all class/session enrollments; make changes as necessary  
  • Work with proper parties on facility and equipment scheduling; including setting up classrooms, technology equipment, and additional materials  
  • Manage course changes through effective and timely communication with attendees and presenters
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees post training sessions to evaluate feedback and effectiveness  
  • Conducts effective needs assessments with leaders and other subject matter experts to determine training needs of employees and firm, as a whole
  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive and engaging training programs tailored to individual contributors, focusing on enhancing technical skills, professional development, and alignment with the firm’s Core Competencies and Core Values
  • Monitor and support remote training participants during hybrid learning events

 

Continuing Professional Education 

  • Monitor and track continuing education and licensure status for various licenses and certifications to ensure compliance requirements are being met  
  • Collect and record materials needed to offer CPE credits
  • Work with employees and leadership to schedule individuals to attend external CPE and professional development events, as needed
  • Assist employees with CPE and licensure-related questions

 

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Maintain supplies and training materials
  • Assist with daily operation of the talent development team, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
  • Communicate and model firm core values, mission and vision
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Strong organization and detail orientation skills 
  • Displays high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in training materials, program documentation, and evaluations
  • Demonstrates intermediate-level of knowledge of instructional design principals and adult learning methodologies
  • Adept with using e-learning course authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Captivate, and Lectora
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines 
  • Outstanding organization, time management, administrative skills 
  • Ability to work independently, be flexible and demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality 
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and professional development 
  • Operates with a “service oriented” mindset; demonstrates initiative and desire to assist others  
  • Maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality regarding sensitive issues

 

Your Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or Related Field 
  • Minimum 1-2 years related work experience preferably working with company-wide training and development initiatives 
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems 
  • Advanced computer proficiency with MS Office Suite including PowerPoint

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Anders reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and firm business practices.

Salary Range
$56,000$70,000 USD
