Job Description:
As an Inside Sales Engineer at Johnson Barrow (Coquitlam, British Columbia), you will play a crucial role in supporting our Outside Sales Engineers in delivering top-quality HVAC solutions to our valued customers. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of pre-sale and post-sale activities, including estimating, quoting, customer communication, equipment submittals, and on-site technical assistance.
Job Duties:
- Estimation and Quoting: Prepare equipment selections, budgets and official quotes with the Outside Sales team based on project requirements, mechanical plans and specifications.
- Commercial HVAC System Design: Collaborate with the team, our partner engineers and contractor customers, on the design and layout of HVAC equipment for commercial, institutional, and multi-family high-rise projects. Develop a deep technical understanding of all aspects of our manufacturing partner’s equipment to become an in-house technical expert.
- Technical Assistance: Provide after sales support to contractors related to equipment installations, startups and commissioning. Occasional jobsite visits in the Lower Mainland will be required.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years industry experience demonstrating knowledge in the HVAC Equipment field is needed
- A Mechanical Engineering degree is required
- Experience using CAD or PDF editing programs would be advantageous to contribute effectively to system layouts.
- Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency using MS 365 Products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and CRM systems
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to the USA occasionally for factory training and company events is required.
Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000/year plus bonus
