Altarum’s Community Health Practice Area is seeking an experienced Evaluation Analyst to support multiple projects aimed at improving population health with a focus on addressing equity, disparities, and populations disenfranchised by the health care system. This role will support the Community Health team, with a specific focus on behavioral health. The Evaluation Analyst role supports activities related to formative research, program evaluation and program assessments, conducting qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, and translating findings for dissemination to various partners through a range of communication vehicles.

Responsibilities - Provide support to all phases of planning and implementation for multiple ongoing projects and evaluations including study design, data collection, data analysis, and reporting.
- Assist in developing the approach ormethodology for conducting evaluations and analyses. Gather information to facilitate the development of requirements documentation.
- Conduct and assist in defining the requirements for literature reviews and environmental scans.
- Assist in development of qualitative data collection tools and development and programming of survey tools.
- Collect and synthesize data from key informant interviews, focus groups,surveys, and policy or document reviews.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses with mentoring from senior analysts.
- Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data and provide interpretation, utilizing data to tell compelling stories and highlighting key findings in impactful and visually appealing ways to enhance data utilization across a broad range of audiences.
- Contribute to dissemination of findings through data visualizations (e.g., infographics), translating data/information for public documents,client reports, client reporting portals, and presentation of work.
- Assist project leads in various administrative tasks on projects including notetaking, scheduling data collection activities and events, and coordinating various aspects of projects.
- Support the development of technical assistance products for clients and their partners, such as toolkits, guidebooks, and other resources.
- Occasionally guide or provide support to earlier career analysts.
- Collaborate with project managers and directors to develop project timelines and milestones for upcoming deliverables.
- Balance the needs of multiple simultaneous projects with competing deadlines.
- Liaise and coordinate with a range of clients and internal project partners.
- Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, flexibility, desire to learn, and self-motivation to improve programs and processes.
- Provide thought leadership and self-manage time and resources effectively across projects.
- Follow all applicable privacy and confidentiality procedures in daily work.
Qualifications- Master’s degree in public health or related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience. Direct experience in behavioral health programs is desirable, but not required.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in government contracting environments.
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis. Previous experience with analytical software including Microsoft Excel, SAS, SPSS, R, NVivo or other qualitative analysis software, and/or Tableau or other mapping software.
- Experience with a wide range of research and evaluation methods and processes, including literature reviews, quantitative analysis, qualitative methods, and formal writing.
- Experience with data collection via surveys, key informant interviews, and focus groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience presenting findings and facilitating group meetings with partners is desirable.
- Analytical thinker with exceptional attention to quality and detail.
- An inquisitive and innovative nature, integrity, willingness to step into new roles, team-focused mentality, and a commitment to continuously learning and improving.
- Self-motivated with demonstrated skills in independent management of time and tasks.
- Preferable to have experience in virtual work setting and competency using Zoom and Microsoft Teams
Logistical Requirements - At this time we will only accept candidates who are presently eligible to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship.
- Our organization requires that all work, for the duration of your employment, must be completed in the continental U.S. unless required by contract.
- If you are local to our offices in Arlington, Silver Spring, Novi, or Portland this role will be hybrid (in office on Wednesdays - collaboration days).
- Must be able to work during eastern time unless approved by your manager.
- Employees working remotely must have a dedicated, ergonomically appropriate workspace free from distractions with a mobile device that allows for productive and efficient conduct of business.
$74,017 - $88,280.85 a year

Individual compensation packages are based on numerous factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. This salary range is not a guarantee of compensation, as the final offer amount will vary based on these factors.
