We’re looking for a Marketing Automation Engineer to play a key role in integrating our data platform, AWLS products, and marketing deployment blueprints. While Braze is our preferred customer engagement platform—and you’ll be the in-house expert driving innovation and value from it—you’ll also support and work with other tools as needed.

You’ll bring strong technical skills to help build and enhance personalisation, templates, landing pages, campaign workflows and API integrations. Working closely with frontend engineers, data engineers and analysts, you’ll optimise marketing automation efforts and contribute to campaign success. You'll also support and mentor users across the group—including customers—by running workshops, assisting with campaign execution, and helping drive effective utilisation of Braze and other marketing technologies.

Purpose of Role

  • Lead the development and integration of marketing automation capabilities across platforms
  • Drive adoption and utilisation of data-driven marketing strategies internally and with customers
  • Act as the in-house expert on Braze while supporting the effective use of other marketing tools
  • Contribute to the digital marketing roadmap and overall strategy
  • Champion best practices, standardisation, and scalability of marketing automation development
  • Deliver robust, resilient, and high-performing solutions
  • Mentor, support and train internal marketing teams and external customers

Department

Part of the Global BI and CRM product unit. The team’s objective is to build a full omni channel analytics and CRM capability.

Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with at least one marketing automation platform (Braze preferred)
  • Proven track record in developing high-volume, data-driven marketing campaigns
  • Strong experience in building, customising, and optimising email templates
  • Solid front-end skills, including HTML, CSS, JS
  • Experience managing end-to-end campaign delivery, from planning and setup to execution and optimisation
  • Comfortable working with APIs and integrating marketing platforms with data sources
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., data, frontend, analytics)
  • Experimentation: Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and campaign performance measurement
  • Data architecture awareness: Understanding of how marketing tools fit into broader data ecosystems (e.g., CDPs, event streaming, DWHs)
  • Event-driven architecture: Familiarity with real-time data flows and event tagging (e.g., Braze Currents, Segment, Snowplow)
  • Tag management platforms: Experience with tools like GTM or server-side tagging to capture marketing data
  • Familiarity with CDPs like Segment, mParticle, or similar
