Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Senior Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite conventional and government residential mortgage loans per product and investor guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with investor requirements, federal and state laws, and perform risk assessments of credit and collateral
  • Respond to post-closing issues and assist management with loan conditions and expedited closings
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience (2 years relevant work experience plus 4-6 years mortgage underwriting experience)
  • Direct Endorsement (DE) or LAPP approval preferred
  • Full knowledge of credit risk and understanding of appraisals
  • Thorough knowledge of DU/LP valuations and applicable industry tools
  • Understanding of conforming and non-conforming guidelines
