Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Patient Care
-Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with a variety of illnesses and injuries.
-Perform assessments, diagnoses, and develop treatment plans promptly and accurately.
-Manage acute and life-threatening medical conditions using advanced medical techniques and procedures.
Clinical Procedures
-Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including intubation, central line placement, lumbar puncture, and fracture management.
-Provide advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and trauma care.
Collaboration and Communication
-Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, physician assistants, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
-Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure understanding of diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
Documentation and Compliance
-Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
-Adhere to hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and federal and state regulations.
-Participate in quality assurance and improvement programs as needed.
Education and Training
-Provide mentorship and training to medical students, residents, or junior staff as applicable.
-Stay updated on advancements in emergency medicine through continued education and professional development.
Required:
-Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
-Board Certification in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM).
-Active and unrestricted medical license in any state.
-Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, and Basic Life Support (BLS).
-At least 5 years of experience in an emergency medicine setting preferred.
Preferred:
-Experience with trauma care and high-acuity cases.
-Additional certifications such as Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
Work Schedule:
-Flexible scheduling options available, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
-Must be willing to work a rotating schedule based on department needs.
