Job Description

AHRC NYC is seeking a Fiscal Intermediary Director (FID)  their for Individualized Support program.

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year plus a low cost comprehensive Benefit package. See Benefit information below.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interpret OPWDD ADMs or Federal/State/Local mandates to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Attend SMLS FI Training and attend all quarterly updates
  • Review and update department policy and procedures manuals to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Review and analyze EHR data and AR billing reports to ensure accurate tracking of billing and service delivery. Such tasks include but are not limited to, initial review of SD budgets/amendments, approval/rejection of reimbursement submission, maintaining Medicaid compliance for all FI HCBS Waiver Services, interacts with Finance, Human Resources (and other departments as needed) to provide accurate reporting of reimbursements and processing of SD self-hired staff.
  • Provide supervisory leadership and development to program staff.  Provide ongoing daily supervision of all FI Program Staff. Evaluate work performance to ensure that performance is maintained at a satisfactory level in compliance with the policies of the Agency. Evaluate need for ongoing training and ensure that training is provided to staff as needed.
  • Conduct effective communications with individuals, their family, Support Brokers, OPWDD, community advocates, and external service providers as well as strong teamwork principles.
  • Develop and present progress reports to AVP of department and other senior management stakeholders on a periodic or as needed basis. 
  • Direct and participate in establishment, administration, and evaluation of programs or services, ensuring quality controls and practices.
  • Direct and participate in development, interpretation, evaluation, and recommendation of policies, procedures, rules, and regulations for the effective operations of the program.
  • Responsible for intake and allocation of caseloads to FI Specialists
  • Maintain a caseload of Self-Direction budgets and all responsibilities that fall under FI Specialist role

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in human services related industry required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a program management role.
  • Prior experience working with people with developmental disabilities and OPWDD supports and services. 

§  Knowledge of the principles of administrative management, including budgeting techniques, office procedures, and reporting.

§  Ability to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate a variety of data for use in program development and analysis.

§  Experience in establishing program procedures, policies, or guidelines in adherence to ADMs and government regulations

§  Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with broad range of stakeholders, both orally and in writing.

§  Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
