Reporting to the Senior Manager of Business Systems, the Salesforce Technical Architect is responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of Salesforce and related applications. This role is highly collaborative with functional leaders and Business Systems team members to ensure the design and implementation of solutions leverage Salesforce leading practices and guidelines. Experience with Sales Cloud, CPQ, and Service Cloud are highly desired. 

 

The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical, analytical, problem-solving and people skills, and will be comfortable working in a dynamic, high-growth environment. You will identify new opportunities to leverage Salesforce and its database to support new business processes or functions. You will also be motivated, team oriented and passionate about Salesforce technology. 

 


Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overall design direction, functionality, and scalability of the Salesforce platform 
  • Provide technical expertise, leadership, and support to other Business Systems team members across multiple Salesforce projects and enhancements
  • Own complex projects and perform detailed analysis of internal stakeholders’ business requirements
  • Provide end to end solution design, including integrations with systems outside the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Sign off on overall technical design developed by team members or outside vendors
  • Provide direction and mentorship to a team of Salesforce administrators and analysts
  • Point of escalation for technical issues 
  • Establish and implement change control and best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing and data integrity
  • Translate approved solutions into actionable work items for other team members and/or external consultants to implement
  • Develop and maintain standardized documentation
  • Identify production risks and areas for improvement
  • Prioritize, design, and facilitate successful implementation and adoption of new processes
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and process owners to drive accountability and standardization across systems, processes, and data management


Qualifications:
  • Material experience with Sales Cloud, CPQ, and Service Cloud, including LiveAgent, omni-channel routing, and Knowledge Base
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with other enterprise applications and proprietary software
  • In depth knowledge developing custom objects, validation rules, process builders, approval processes, and flows 
  • Experience developing programmatic Salesforce customizations using Apex and Visual Force
  • Experience with Release Management, Deployment and Source Control
  • Proven creativity and problem-solving skills; ability to work around obstacles and solve problems while providing direction to others
  • Strong understanding of data structures and data modeling
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with business users, technical staff and executive management
  • Experience mentoring and coaching less experienced team members
  • Strong organizational/time management skills; ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, hands-on, with a customer service mentality
  • Flexible with a demonstrated ability to embrace change
 
Additional Considerations
  •  Experience with SF1 mobile configuration, Apex programming, Visualforce pages, and Data Loader
  • Salesforce Advanced Administration Certification 
  • Salesforce Application Architect and/or Technical Architect certification
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud Consultant certification 
  • Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification
  • Integration experience with NetSuite Oneworld, Mavenlink, Ceridian Dayforce, Okta, Catalyst, and various data enrichment tools
