Acentra seeks an RN Sanction Specialist to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The RN Sanction Specialist will be responsible for the oversight and direction of all activities associated with the CMS Sanction process. Must be experienced with maintaining compliance with EMTALA regulations.

  

*Position is remote*

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain lines of communication (verbal/written) between BFCC QIO and involved healthcare providers
  • Produce written Initial and Final Sanction Notices and EMTALA communications
  • Maintain case file with all supporting documentation
  • Monitor provider Corrective Action Plan (CAP); provide technical assistance for developing and refining CAP; review submitted CAP data
  • Provide monthly summaries for COR reports
  • Produce written OIG referral, if necessary
  • Review all EMTALA referrals
  • Facilitate Sanction and 60-day EMTALA hearings
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Unrestricted, active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in either a short-term acute care hospital or skilled nursing facility required

 

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • BSN, Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM); Licensed Health Risk manager (LHRM); or Associate’ in Risk Management (ARM), preferred
  • 5+ years of previous experience as a claims or risk manager preferred

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $76,360 - $85,000 per year
