The Learning and Development Specialist is a seasoned professional with a strong understanding of workforce training, onboarding and professional development. This position will support the Release Management work force, ensuring employees are supported in technical skill development, workplace proficiency, and career growth. This role is essential in aligning workforce development with 2K's business needs and crafting a structured yet adaptable learning environment. Additionally, this role collaborates with internal teams, leadership and HR to continuously refine a comprehensive training program that delivers multifaceted learning solutions for a wide-ranging staff. This is an onsite role in Las Vegas.
Location: Las Vegas, NV (Onsite)
Facilitate new hire orientation, highlighting policies and procedures while partnering with support teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
Train new employees on foundational game testing functions in addition to delivering professional development courses for all team members
Build relationships across departments and collaborate with subject matter experts to enhance internal processes, improve training materials and refine specialized instruction
Plan, advertise, and facilitate semi-annual team builders for intra-team and cross-departmental communication and engagement
Manage training logistics –including scheduling, location, materials– while promoting awareness of upcoming training opportunities
Track and manage curriculum progress within the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accuracy of training content and individual learning records
Maintain, analyze and report training data, including but not limited to total hours trained, course utilization rates, learner engagement surveys and participant attendance trends
Design and refine instructional learning programs using adult learning principles, instructional design theories, and current professional development trends
Effectively manage time and priorities to balance multiple training initiatives ensuring timely delivery
Serve as an ambassador for the organization by creating a welcoming and professional environment supporting 2K values
3+ years of proven experience in training, instructional design, or workforce development
Proficiency in MS Office and G Suite with emphasis on presentation software
Excellent time management, project management, public speaking, and problem-solving skills
Experience analyzing data from training assessments and surveys to measure program effectiveness
Ability to work with both onsite and distributed remote teams effectively
Proven capacity to work independently, apply good judgement and decision-making skills while collaborating with key partners
Strong relationship-building skills to collaborate across the organization
Formal certification in Training, Education, HR, Business, or related field preferred
Experience in game testing a plus
