About the role 

Are you ready to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and innovative environment? We are looking for a Third Party Risk Assurance Manager to join our Risk team - your role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and comprehensive management of external audits, supplier risks, and adherence to our enterprise and regulatory risk frameworks. 

In this diverse and exciting role, you will: 

  • Lead Third-Party Management Assurance Activities: Take charge of due diligence and risk assessments, ensuring our tech third-parties align with our high standards. 
  • Opportunity to work across the business: Assist the Senior Tech Assurance Manager and the wider Chief Risk & Resilience Office team with control testing activities, driving forward our risk management strategies.
  • Support External Audits: Support audits such as SOC2 and ISO27001 

About you 

You are a self-motivated, all-rounded, collaborative and experienced professional with consultancy, financial services and or FinTech start-up / scale-up experience. You will join us at an exciting time in our business.

You will be responsible for… 

  

  • Leading a broad range of business activities by executing third-party risk assurance activities like due diligence processes (e.g risk assessment, issuing DDQs, reviewing third party due diligence responses and artefacts such as certifications and accreditations, audit reports, policies, etc) 
  • Developing and enhancing third-party risk management framework and associated processes in line with good industry practice. 
  • Leading Third Party Oversight Committee (TPOC) and associated control activities.  
  • Leading Third Party Obligation (TPO) audits, and support SOC2, ISO27001 and other external audits. 
  • Supporting business teams with the identification, remediation and reporting of risk events arising from the use of third parties. 
  • Providing third-party risk management specialist support into ongoing third-party management activities ranging from service reviews, exit planning & management 
  • Creation and presentation of high-quality reporting addressing assurance and control adequacy to stakeholders. 
  • Supporting and executing the 10x assurance programme. 
  • Keeping up to date on the latest assurance trends and emerging risks for the IT assurance/banking industry. 
  • Working with the rest of the Chief Risk & Resilience Office to further 10x’s risk and control maturity including control testing activities. 

Ideally you will have... 

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, ideally in IT/Computer Science 
    • Proven third-party risk management experience 
    • A deep understanding of best practices in software development
    • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills 
    • Effective assimilation and analysis of information 
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and as a strong team-player
    • Strong organisational, problem solving and time management skills  
    • Strong Integrity and professional ethics 
    • Passion for promoting a strong, healthy risk culture

If you also have experience of the following, we’d love to hear from you...

    • Experience in a fast moving, dynamic, digital, entrepreneurial businesses
    • Ability to operate effectively in an agile organisation
    • Knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements (PRA, EBA, FCA etc.) 
    • Expertise in industry standards, like SOC2, ISO27001, COBIT, and ITIL
    • Experience in IT control testing 
    • Coding skills
